Inside unit is running but the outside is not – what’s up?

Check to see if the a/c breaker is tripped. Even if it appears to be off, turn it completely off, and then on again. If it trips again, leave it alone and call your contractor. If this is not the case, it could be your thermostat wiring is broken.
